The Saïd Foundation (SF) was established in August 2008 and is the successor organisation to the long running Karim Rida Saïd Foundation. SF is a registered charity and whilst its focus remains Middle East and UK oriented it will be seeking to expand its activities over the coming years.
The Foundation's existing programmes are designed to improve the lives
of disadvantaged children and young people in our priority countries of
Syria, Palestine, Lebanon, Jordan and Iraq. Activities include providing
scholarships to talented and worthy individuals for their further education,
making grants to implementing organisations for child development projects
in the region and the promotion of a better understanding of Arab culture
through funding key partners in the United Kingdom.
