Saïd Foundation : What we do

The Saïd Foundation works in the United Kingdom and the Middle East. In the UK it assists the Saïd Business School at Oxford University in its pursuit of excellence whilst in the Middle East it seeks to improve the lives of disadvantaged children and young people in its priority countries of Syria, Palestine, Jordan and Lebanon.

The UK objective is pursued by making grants to the Saïd Business School Foundation (SBSF) for its Strategic Development Fund. The Middle East focus is delivered through three programmes:

The Further Education Programme promotes education, training and development by providing financial and other support to talented young people from the priority countries so that they can acquire skills and knowledge that would not otherwise be available to them.

The Foundation’s Child Development Programme helps disadvantaged children in the fields of education and disability.

Through its Arab Culture Programme, the Foundation provides opportunities for children and young people to improve their knowledge and understanding of Arab culture.
