Each year the Saïd Foundation Achievement Prize is awarded to an individual judged to have contributed significantly to the development of the region and to have shown the positive impact of their studies as a Saïd Foundation scholar. The first prize was awarded in 1995 and to date 24 alumni have been recognised by the Foundation.
On Saturday 24 November the Saïd Foundation was delighted to formally welcome our 2018/19 scholars to the UK. The scholars first attended a three hour training session on academic writing. The aim of the session was to help the new scholars to adapt to the UK academic system and to prepare them for producing written assignments for their postgraduate Masters courses.
The Foundation is pleased to relaunch the Amal website and to be welcoming grant applications again. During the pilot year, we supported 39 brilliant projects and we are looking forward to developing new partnerships in the months to come. There are a few changes to look out for, which can be found in our new Guidance for Applicants here.
With around 400 events and audience numbers of almost 30,000 reached last year, we anticipate a lot more to come. Check out the new Media section of the Amal website where we’ll be adding videos and photos from our partners.
Please share the news. We look forward to receiving applications.
