Mr and Mrs Said hosted the Said Foundation’s annual Student Dinner on Saturday 22 April at the Hurlingham Club in London.

Mr and Mrs Said hosted the Said Foundation’s annual Student Dinner on Saturday 22 April at the Hurlingham Club in London. The night was a splendid celebration of the achievements of the cohort of students from Syria, Palestine, Lebanon and Jordan who are currently being supported by the Foundation with their studies at UK universities and also those scholars studying for MBAs and DPhils at Said Business School.

Over 170 guests attended the dinner including friends and representatives from partner organisations such as UNHCR, Save the Children, the International Rescue Committee, the British Lebanese Association, Rhodes House, Said Business School and UK universities.

Guests were moved by the powerful speeches made by two Syrian students, Ahmad Al Rashid studying at SOAS and Dima Al Tabbaa studying at Said Business School, and by Tarek Hamam (from Palestine) who was awarded this year’s Alumni Achievement Prize by trustee Mr Khaled Said.
