In order to be considered for a Saïd Foundation Scholarship candidates need to meet our English language requirement. This is a score in IELTS of at least 6.0 overall with a minimum of 6.0 in each band. However, some universities have higher English language requirements and it is your responsibility to check the eligibility of your English test results with your chosen university. The Foundation cannot do this for you or give you advice on partner universities' English requirements.
Please note that only IELTS certificates dated after 1 October 2018 will be accepted. If your IELTS certificate is dated before this date then you will be required to take another IELTS test in order to be considered for a scholarship.
If you have already taken an IELTS test then you should upload a copy of your test certificate to your application before you submit. If you have not taken a test prior to applying for a scholarship, you will need to register for a test and provide details of the test booking in your application prior to submitting.
The Foundation can only consider other test results if they have been approved by your chosen university. If you have questions about your university’s English language requirements please contact them directly.
If you are selected for an interview you will be asked to provide evidence that you have met the English language requirements of both the Saïd Foundation and your chosen university.
TOEFL results are no longer being accepted by many universities. If you have a TOEFL result and you want it to be considered, you will need to provide the Foundation with evidence that your chosen university will accept it.
